A creamy hand soap that’s calming, purifying and antibacterial!
Indulge your hands and awaken your senses with this delightfully scented hand soap made from a blend of enriching oils, castile soap and essential oils.
This pure and natural liquid hand soap will leave your skin feeling soft and clean, while providing protection and nourishment from the elements.
Even better, it will not dry out your skin like most other soaps do. It cleanses hands without stripping away natural oils and is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
What is it made out of?
This deliciously creamy hand soap is made from moisture enriching oils of jojoba, argan and glycerine, to help hydrate and prevent hands from drying out. The carefully selected blend of ingredients and essential oils help soothe dry, irritated hands, repair damaged skin and provide protection from germs. Scented with essential oils, this hand soap provides therapeutic benefits including natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
Ingredients used and their skin benefits:
- Glycerine is a humectant, meaning it attracts moisture to the skin. It helps to keep hands hydrated and prevents them from drying out.
- Jojoba Oil is similar to the skin’s natural oils, making it an excellent moisturiser. It helps to nourish and soften the skin, leaving hands feeling smooth and hydrated.
- Argan Oil is rich in vitamin E and fatty acids, which help to hydrate and repair the skin. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, making it suitable for soothing dry, irritated hands.
- Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps to protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals. It also promotes healing and helps to keep the skin moisturised.
- Castile Soap is made from vegetable oils, making it gentle and suitable for sensitive skin. It effectively cleanses the hands without stripping away natural oils.
- Rosemary Essential Oil has antimicrobial properties that can help to cleanse the skin and prevent the spread of germs. It also has a refreshing scent that can uplift the mood.
- Lavender Essential Oil has calming and soothing properties, making it ideal for reducing stress and promoting relaxation. It also has antimicrobial properties that help to keep hands clean.
- Lemongrass Essential Oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties, making it effective at killing germs and preventing infections. It also has a citrusy scent that can help to energise and refresh the senses.
The above essential oils is what I use to give the soap those antibacterial and soothing properties, but these can be swapped with other essential oils according to your preference. You could swap out the rosemary essential oil for tea tree essential oil, or replace the lavender with peppermint! Have fun coming up with your own essential oil blends!
Use 250ml amber glass bottle with lotion pump
Ingredients
- Packaging – bottle
- ½ cup Castille Soap (125ml)
- ½ cup Distilled Water (125ml)
- 15g Glycerin (11.8ml)
- ½ teaspoon Vitamin E (2.5ml)
- ½ teaspoon Jojoba Oil (2.5ml)
- ½ teaspoon Argan Oil (2.5ml)
- 1 teaspoon Xanthan Gum (5ml)
- ¼ teaspoon Nat Defence
Method
- Mix Xanthan Gum with Glycerin.
- In separate jar, add Nat Defence to distilled water until completely dissolved.
- Slowly add distilled water to Xanthan Gum/Glycerin mixture, stirring well until thickened.
- Add Vitamin E, Jojoba Oil and Argan Oil and blend in well.
- Slowly add Castille Soap, stirring well until thickened.
- Add essential oils then blend in well.
- Pour into 250ml bottle.
Usage Instruction
Wet hands with water, dispense a small amount of liquid soap on to hands. Rub hands to form a creamy lather then rinse well under water.
Use within 6 months of opening.
