With each passing season, the farm pulses with vitality, offering a tapestry of experiences for all who wander its grounds. Join us as we delve deeper into the myriad adventures that unfold on our beloved farm.

Guided Tours: A Gateway to Discovery

Step into a world where curiosity knows no bounds. Our Guided Tours offer a glimpse into the inner workings of the farm, from the gentle rhythm of animal husbandry to the vibrant hues of our growing orchards. Whether you’re a seasoned farmer or a city dweller seeking respite in nature, something is enchanting about witnessing life unfold in its purest form.

During the recent school holidays, we opened our gates to the public for our first Guided Farm Experience. The response was overwhelming, with families flocking to immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, and scents of rural life. From feeding our resident cows to visiting our off-grid power bunker house, every moment was steeped in wonder and discovery.

Workshops: Cultivating Creativity and Connection

As we look towards the horizon, we’re thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of our Workshop series. Designed to ignite the spark of creativity and foster connections within our community, these workshops promise an immersive experience like no other.

From organic skincare making to sustainable agriculture practices, each workshop is a testament to our commitment to holistic living. As we delve into the art of handcrafting, we invite you to join us in exploring the intersection of tradition and innovation.

Hay Feeding and Farm Resilience

While we eagerly await the return of rain to quench our parched paddocks, our animals are sustained by a steady diet of oaten or meadow hay. Despite the challenges posed by Mother Nature, our spirits remain undaunted as we tend to the needs of our beloved livestock.

The Bounty of the Food Forest: A Cornucopia of Delights

Step into our Food Forest, where abundance reigns supreme. From the luscious sweetness of peaches and pears to the tangy allure of plums and figs, each harvest is a celebration of nature’s bounty. And let’s not forget our inaugural almond crop – a testament to the tireless efforts of our dedicated team.

As we eagerly anticipate the ripening of our apples, the herbs flourish under the sun’s gentle gaze. The vibrant nasturtiums, with their fiery orange blooms, serve as beacons of life, attracting a symphony of bees to our sanctuary.

Unexpected Visitors: Embracing Nature’s Surprises

In a delightful twist of fate, our fig tree played host to an unexpected visitor – a grey-headed flying fox! Underneath the netting, this enchanting creature found itself in a cozy perch among our fig branches. After a gentle rescue and release, it soared off into the horizon, leaving us with a mix of awe and gratitude.

Guided Farm Experience for Homeschoolers: Cultivating Curiosity and Connection

Term 1 was a whirlwind of activity as we welcomed homeschooling families for our Guided Tours. Witnessing the children’s eyes light up with wonder as they interacted with the animals and explored the intricacies of farm life was truly heartwarming.

As we reflect on those cherished moments, we invite you to experience the magic through our Term 1 Home Ed Group Visits video – a testament to the transformative power of experiential learning.

In conclusion, life at Pleasant Sense Farm is a symphony of sights, sounds, and sensations, each moment a testament to the beauty of rural living. As we embrace the challenges and joys that come with tending to the land, we invite you to join us on this remarkable journey of discovery and growth.
