Animal Walk and Talk!

Walking with our team of four-legged animals is great fun! They can be playful or stubborn, mischievous, or calm. Whatever mood they decide to put on that day, they always make their walkers smile, laugh, and feel a whole lot better!
Our’ Animal Walk and Talk’ guided walks are designed to encourage and support participants from ages six and upwards to experience the healing effects of nature, participate in physical activity and engage with their community.

Walking alongside a new animal friend can help awaken our interest in the world. We watch to see what interests or excites them, what they sniff at or choose to eat, what they see in the bushes that we can’t see. It all helps to build that connection between us and nature. Apart from that, it’s also a great way to meet other people and make new friends!

Green exercise can alleviate primary symptoms of depression and anxiety, as well as secondary symptoms such as low self-esteem and social withdrawal. Building life skills and developing a sense of self-efficacy are great ways to foster positive mental health. Group activities such as the ‘Animal Walk and Talk’ can promote social interaction and provide opportunities for peer support.
